LMCNA Memberhip Meeting 2010

A gathering of LM members was held at the Rocky Bay Hunt Club in Pine City, Minnesota on August 13-15. Approximately 50 people attended. Alan Kaplan lead the afternoon's SWOT analysis and is preparing a written report. This report will appear in the Fall LMCNA newsletter.
Pine City is on the eastern edge of Minnesota, in about the middle of the state. Detailed directions are shown on a map on their website. The nearest major airport is Minneapolis.

- How to encourage an independent water search for duck
- How to use the Ôscent coneÕ to advantage for pointing
- Tips for steady to wing, shot and fall
Conformation Workshop
- 10:30 - 12:30 AM, Club House grounds
- Leaders: Joe Schmutz, Etta Bernu, Dale Ruenger
- What does the LM breed standard call for and why does it matter?
- How to measure a dog
- Register onsite if you would like an official conformation certificate ($40) - number of dogs, as time permits, continue Sunday AM if needed
- Official certificates issued only to dogs 18 months or older
Box Lunch available onsite for $10 ordered in advance.
